• Emirates Conformity Assessment Scheme (Ecas) – Textile Scheme

  1.0 Scope of Services:

  Conformity certificate issuance for Textile Products complying with the UAE Conformity Assessment Scheme (ECAS) according to the technical requirements of the cabinet resolution No. 54 for the year 2019.

  2.0 Registration in the digital platform of MOIAT

  • Login or register to the Ministry services digital platform.
  • Apply to Issuing conformity certificates for products according to health and safety requirements.
  • Attach the required documents.
  • Payment of fees

  3.0 Required Documents:

  • Request for Certification (RFC)
  • Valid UAE Industry/Trade License.
  • Valid Test Report from ISO/IEC 17025 accredited Laboratory.
  • Recognized as per the approved applicable standard(s). “Per Material type/Product type”.
  • Distributor ownership (for traders only).
  • Representative artwork, Label of the product.
  • Electronics declaration of conformity

  4.0 Product Categories

  • Treated Fabric (Chemical)
  • Textile Miscellaneous

  5.0 Excluded Products

  • Textile made by people working at home.
  • Disposable Textiles (Single use).
  • Outdoor Textiles.
  • Textile products made from Leather, Rubber & Plastic
  • Textile products handcrafted by freelance tailors.

  6.0 Fees: Fees to be paid by Exporter/Importer.
